POLLS OPEN 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Dear Resident,
Tuesday, November 8, 2022 is New Jersey’s General Election Day. In person voting on machines will be available at polling places on Election Day. Polls are open from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. Please read on for how to cast your ballot.
Early Voting - Early Voting allows registered voters to cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine during a nine day period prior to the November 8, 2022 General Election. Early voting begins Saturday, October 29 through Sunday, November 6. Hours will be Monday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can find the early voting locations here: https://www.monmouthcountyvotes.com/voter-information/polling-places/
Vote at Your Polling Location on Election Day – Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Your polling location is noted on your sample ballot. You can also find your polling location here: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/polling-place-search
Vote-By-Mail (VBM) ballots – VBM ballots were mailed only to registered voters who had requested a VBM ballot. Below are the ways to return you VBM ballot. Your VBM ballot may NOT be brought to the polling location.
- Ballots may be mailed via U.S. mail (postmarked by 8 p.m. on November 8).
- Ballot may be placed in any Monmouth County secure Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m. on November 8. Marlboro’s Drop Box is in the Municipal parking lot located at 1979 Township Drive. Click HERE for other Monmouth County Drop Box locations.
- Deliver to the Monmouth County Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on November 8, located at 300 Halls Mill Road in Freehold.
- Vote by Mail ballot applications must be received by the Clerk of Elections by Monday, November 1 by 3 p.m. (seven days prior to the election) – Registered voters can apply in-person for a VBM ballot and vote at the County Clerk’s Election Office located at 300 Halls Mills Road until 3 p.m. on Election Day, Monday, November 7.
- Arrive at your polling location on Election Day and you are told that you are not eligible to vote? Request and complete a provisional ballot.
NOTE: YOUR VBM BALLOT CANNOT BE RETURNED TO YOUR POLLING PLACE.
