COMMUTER PARKING PERMITS
Please note that Permit Applications must be submitted ONLINE
NOTE: Permit holders must renew by March 31 of each year. After this date, parking spaces of permit holders shall be forfeited and offered to new applicants maintained on the waiting list and non-residents.
Marlboro Township offers commuter parking along the Route 9 corridor to Marlboro, Manalapan residents and residents of other municipalities. Manalapan residents may apply for a parking permit at any Township commuter parking facility. Non-residents (other than Manalapan) may apply for a parking permit at the Texas Road parking facility only. There are three commuter parking lots, which require permits, and one metered daily parking lot open to the general public.
OVERNIGHT AND WEEKEND PARKING: Parking is free between 6:30 pm to 4:30 am weekdays and Saturday and Sunday at the three Township commuter lots. No permit. No fee. Note, the fee still applies at the daily lot on Union Hill Road.

Parking permits are required for all three parking commuter lots from Monday to Friday between the hours of 4:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and are issued by the Township Administration Office. The Business Administrator shall not issue more than two permits to any Marlboro residence, and shall not issue more than one permit to any Manalapan or non-resident. Daily parking for $5 a day can be found at the Union Hill Recreation Parking Lot.

PERMIT VEHICLE CHANGE PROCEDURES
Should you need to replace your current parking permit with a new vehicle and or/add an additional vehicle to your account, email
Return the Parking Permit using one of the options below. Please clarify which change(s) you are requesting:
1. By mail: Township of Marlboro, Attn: Parking Permit Bureau, 1979 Township Drive, Marlboro, NJ 07746.
2. Drop off box: Located in the Administration Building’s lobby (open 24/7)
3. Reception: located in the Administration Building - 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
After the vehicle’s documents and current parking permit are received by our office; a payment link for the $25.00 replacement fee will be sent by through the SDL system via email. Payment must be submitted by credit card only (check spam/junk for payment link email). After the vehicle’s documents, current permit tag and replacement fee via credit card are received, a new permit tag will be mailed to the address on file. No permits will be issued in person.

COMMUTER PARKING ALTERNATIVES
Marlboro and Manalapan have a reciprocal agreement for use of the Union Hill and Franklin Lane parking facilities. The Franklin Lane parking facility currently has a waiting list. If you wish to be added to the Franklin Lane lot wait list, contact the Manalapan Clerk at 732 446-8315.
The Daily commuter lot is located at 498 Union Hill Road, Englishtown, NJ. (MAP)
Fee: $5.50 per day/ 7 days a week including weekends and holidays
Pay via the downloaded, free App or Text-to-Pay right from your cell. Both options allow user to extend parking stay remotely, provide receipts and allow you to pay from your vehicle. Frequent users may prefer the app as it allows user to save vehicle and payment information. The existing kiosk will remain in place for those that prefer.
No fee. Commuter-parking lot is located toward the back of the strip mall. Take New Jersey Transit Bus #135 to New York Port Authority, which leaves on weekdays and peak hours only.
No fee. Commuter-Parking Lot (Municipal – Public Works Department). Parking availability is contingent upon event schedules. Call the venue for commuter-parking availability (732) 335-0400. Peak hour transportation on weekdays provided by Academy Bus on all commuter routes travelling via the Garden State Parkway.
