RE: Restaurant Delivery/Takeout
Grocery Stores

Dear Resident,

As we head to the weekend many of our families would have been enjoying visiting one or more of our numerous restaurants or ordering takeout. Although restaurants are closed for seating, a wide variety are providing takeout and delivery. Friday night pizza, Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning bagels may add much-needed variety and normalcy to your family meals.
We have been gathering delivery and take options from our restaurants and more than 30 have replied. The links to the restaurants and grocery stores are posted on line and social media, and is updated on a regular basis so check back often. We suggest calling the restaurant ahead or ordering on line to ensure that there have been no schedule changes and to limit your social contact.

Our restaurants have supported our community, religious institutions, schools, our town events, and more, and now it is time for us to support them. I encourage every household to choose at least one day a week and order in. Try a new restaurant or a new cuisine. Download Grubhub or Doordash apps for more options. Even consider purchasing a gift certificate from your favorite place which will provide an extra boost during this difficult time.

Supermarkets hours and delivery options are available HERE. Please only buy what you need -- the supply chain will catch up if customers purchase and stores restock in the normal course. Supermarket delivery and curbside services are receiving a large amount of requests. Please be patient as they attempt to fill the overwhelming amount of orders. Councilman Jeff Cantor and Superintendent Eric Hibbs have formed ‘Marlboro Cares’, a food and medication delivery program for our at-risk population. The FDA website ‘Food Safety and COVID-19’ has a wealth of information for consumers, restaurants and supermarkets. According to the FDA, currently there is no evidence of food or food packaging being associated with transmission of COVID-19.

When we come out of this state of emergency, we will want Marlboro to have the same wealth of retail and dining options as today, critical to our status as a premier place to live, work and raise a family.

Thank you for your support.
