WATER MAIN BREAK AND ROAD CLOSED NOTICE
Road Reopened
UPDATE #3 (Final)
The intersection of Route 520 and Gordons Corner Road reopened around 1:45 AM. The roadway has been temporarily paved to allow for traffic. A final paving will be scheduled for a later date. Early this morning, the Monmouth County Road Department was on site to clear away debris with a street sweeper.
Our appreciation for the diligent efforts of the Marlboro Township Water Department (MTWUD) who oversaw the repair and remained on site until the road was reopened. The Marlboro Township Police Department, stationed at all four detours, assisted motorists throughout the event. Notice of the road closure was made to social media, the Township website, email, and call and text via ‘RAVE’ (reverse 911). Thank you to our residents for your cooperation as this emergency repair was completed.
