Tropical Storm Hermine
Update #3
9-4-2016
Dear Residents:
Following the latest briefing, Marlboro Office of Emergency Management (OEM) confirms that Tropical Storm Hermine has tracked further east lessening the impact to our area, however we are still under a Tropical Storm Warning. Please note that rain, winds and tropical storm conditions are expected on Monday night and Tuesday. Marlboro OEM continues to monitor the weather conditions.
Power outages are still a possibility. Prior Hermine Updates providing links to preparedness information and ways to contact JCP&L are available on the Township Website. A link to those emails can be found at http://www.marlboro-nj.gov .
A reminder to immediately report downed wires to JCP&L or the Marlboro Division of Police. Never go near a downed power line, even if you think it is no longer carrying electricity.
As always, the Marlboro Police Department is available 24 hours a day at (732) 536-0100. For emergencies, please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. We ask that you do NOT call the Police for information regarding power outages and restoration estimates. It is vitally important that Dispatch phone lines stay open for reporting of closed roads, downed trees and wires, and medical and fire emergencies.
Please keep watch on the weather notification sites. If necessary, we will update the public through email, reverse 9-1-1 and social media. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation. Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day.
Mayor Jon Hornik
