Weekend Update –MLK Day Edition
Dear Resident,
This is my first Weekend Update of the New Year but not my first communication as we dealt with a storm system with heavy rains and wind bringing closed roads and power outages to our area. I want to thank Marlboro’s Police, Department of Public Works, Fire and First Aid for working throughout the night keeping the roadways safe, removing downed tree limbs and answering emergency calls.
Our Office of Emergency Management is tracking and preparing for another wind and rain storm heading our way this evening and the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory from 8pm tonight until 5pm Saturday. Additionally, there is the chance for accumulating snow and very cold temperatures the middle of next week. We will keep you updated as more is known. I encourage all residents to review preparedness information detailed in prior storm alerts posted on our website HERE.
Please note that Town Hall Offices and the Recycling Center are CLOSED on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The secure drop-box is available in the Municipal building vestibule and many services are available on line. As always, the police are open 24/7 and can be reached at 732-536-0100. Emergencies dial 911.
