Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

Last Sunday was packed with Township events. We began the day with Dog Days of Summer at the Marlboro Farmers Market. The farmers market is open every Sunday through October. See this week’s list of vendors HERE

We then headed over to the annual Mayor’s Trophy Game on the Union Hill ball fields to benefit the Matthew Friedman Memorial Foundation. We were honored to have pro- Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023 member Joe Klecko at the event to help raise funds for foundation.

We ended the day with our annual Antique Car show, concert and fireworks.  It was a beautiful night and great to see so many neighbors enjoying the evening.

Events this size take a team to organize, ready the fields, keep us safe and traffic flowing. Please join me in thanking the Department of Public Works, Police, Fire and EMS, Police Cadets and the Recreation staff.

Earlier this week, I sent an email announcing that Governor Murphy had signed legislation restoring busing for the Marlboro High School. As Mayor, I have no formal governmental role in our school districts but I will continue to be a strong advocate for our residents’ safety, quality of life and education. I want to thank Assembly Speaker Coughlin and Senators Gopal and O’Scanlon for their steadfast support in ensuring that this bill made its way to the Governor’s desk.  MORE...
