PUBLIC SAFETY – UPDATE
Deer Rutting Season – Late October through mid-November especially between the hours of from 5 - 8 a.m. and 5-8 p.m. deer become more active and more likely to run into the road. Combined with earlier dusk, this leads to more collisions. Keep an eye out for movement on the sides of the road and look for eye reflection. Deer tend to travel in packs so if you see one, more are likely to follow. If you do hit a deer or see one on the side of the road, report to Police at 732-536-0100. Superstorm Sandy made landfall in our area on October 29, 2012. At that time, eleven years ago, we were still suffering power outages, downed trees and wires followed by an improbable October snowstorm. We came together as a community, as we always do, to support each other and take care of those in need. For that, I am forever grateful. As I do every year, I sent a newsletter (HERE) to every Marlboro family both as an annual update, but first and foremost, as a reminder to have an emergency plan in place
Have a great weekend.
Yours in Community,
Mayor Jon Hornik
