RECYCLING CURBSIDE COLLECTION - Please place items curbside the evening before your collection day (rather than by 7am day of).  COVID and the increase of those working and schooling at home has led to more recycling, causing the trucks to fill more quickly requiring more frequent trips to empty. The end result is that the collection is taking longer and requires an earlier start to get the job done. Therefore, we ask that you place items curbside the evening before your scheduled pickup day.  Thank you for your assistance.

BRUSH COLLECTION – Curbside brush collection, postponed due to snow covered roads, has resumed by zone.  It is one week behind the schedule printed in the recycling calendar.  Please do not put brush in the streets but on your property near the curb to avoid blocking water flow to the sewers.  Brush must be placed curbside by 7am of your first pickup day. Once the truck has passed they will not return and the brush must be removed by a contractor or brought to the recycling center.  Please note that no leaves are to be placed loose curbside at this time.  Bagged pickup begins by zone at the end of March as printed in the recycling calendar.  For dates and regulations, please review the letter HERE.

COMMUTER PARKING PERMITS AVAILABLE – The commuter lot at Texas Road and Route 79 (Costco) is accepting new applications for parking permits.  Review the COMMUTER PARKING PERMITS letter for on-line permit instructions. Applications must be received by March 31.  The letter also details how to join the wait lists at the Union Hill and Cambridge Square.

Hydrant Flushing is routine maintenance to remove any sediment that may accumulate in low flow areas of our water distribution system. This operation maintains the overall excellent water quality in our distribution system and ensures that each fire hydrant operates properly. Customers may notice lower water pressure and a slight discoloration of water as flushing is performed in your area. This discoloration is not harmful and will clear up if you let the water run a few extra minutes.
