Weekend Update
Dear Resident,
This weekend Marlboro celebrates Halloween events with a Friday night ghost hunters program followed by the movie Poltergeist at the recreation amphitheater. Sunday, we begin with the day with the Marlboro Farmers Market open from 9am to 2pm. We then head to the Rec Center for Trunk or Treat at 2pm and the Halloween Parade stepping off at 3:45.

TOWNSHIP EVENTS
Paranormal Evidence Team and Poltergeist Movie Night - Friday, October 22 we begin the evening at 6pm with members of the NJ Researchers of Paranormal Evidence Team. Hear stories and check out their ghost capturing equipment. We follow with the movie Poltergeist at 7:15. Bring chairs, blankets and movie snacks and enjoy our spooky night. Outside at the Marlboro Recreation amphitheater. Free. No registration. FLYER.
Trunk or Treat & Halloween Parade - Sunday, October 24, join us for our 13th annual Trunk or Treat. A tradition started in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, ‘T or T’ and parade registration begins at 2:00pm and the Halloween Parade begins at 3:45pm. Be a trunk! Decorate your trunk and hand out candy to children as they trick or treat from trunk to trunk. See the FLYER for details.
Marlboro Farmers Market –These are the final two weeks of the Marlboro Farmers Market before we close for the regular season. Learn about this week’s vendors HERE. Drug Take Back Day – The Marlboro Police will be taking part in National Drug Takeback Day. Saturday, October 23 from 10am - 2pm anonymously dispose of your prescription medication safely, keeping it out of our water supply and out of the hands of those that might misuse them. No syringes or sharps.
Recreation Fall Programs- Fall sports (basketball and wrestling) and adult senior programming registration is open. Please review the letter from Recreation and Swim HERE.
Volunteers Needed to Support Survivors of Sexual Violence (SART) – Work with the Marlboro Police and ‘180 - Turning Lives Around’. Free training this January. MORE.

Brush Collection – Fall brush collection is nearing completion. Once DPW collects your street’s brush they will not return. Please arrange to bring your brush to the recycling center (free and no permit required) or have it removed by a private contractor. Please review the letter HERE regarding zones, dates and regulations.
Landscaper Registration - All landscapers who do work for hire in Marlboro Township must register with the Township. We ask for your assistance in informing your landscaper. MORE
NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTION
Vote by Mail (VBM) – The last day to apply for a VBM ballot is October 26 and the form can be viewed HERE. VBM ballots can be placed in the US Mail, delivered to the Monmouth County Board of Elections or placed in the drop box located in the Marlboro Municipal Parking lot. (or any drop box in Monmouth County HERE). NOTE: VBM cannot be returned to early in-person or Election Day polling location.
Early Voting Begins Saturday – New this year, NJ voters will have an additional option of in-person early voting on a machine beginning October 23 through October 31. In Monmouth County there are 10 designated polling locations for early voting and registered voters can go to any of these locations open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm. NOTE: You can still go to your normal polling location on Election Day.
COVID-19 UPDATE
COVID Testing Truck Returns to Marlboro – To assist residents with obtaining a COVID PCR test, I am pleased to announce that we are again partnering with Immediate Care to provide drive-through PCR tests for our residents. The test is either via swab or saliva. No appointments are taken however pre-registration is strongly encouraged by QR Code or link. The testing truck will be open this Saturday, October 23 and will be open every Tuesday from 2pm to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm until further notice. Schedule changes will be posted on the town website at Marlboro-nj.gov.
Vaccine Percents - I am pleased to announce that Marlboro residents continue to be ahead of the average in vaccination percents. Virtually all of our residents over age 65 and 87% of our residents age 12 and up have had at least one vaccine.
Vaccine Boosters/Third Dose – As guidance changes regarding a third vaccine dose or a booster shot we suggest that you speak with your medical professional and review the state guidelines HERE.
